After Storm Log - Month 1

For three days and three nights, the storm howled outside the protective stone of the building. Tight quarters made for tight nerves and quick tempers, but on the morning of the fourth day, the sounds of rumbling thunder and squealing lightning strikes had faded. Instead, there was the small, delicate whistling of birdsong, as if it was nothing but an early spring morning. A bit odd considering the snow laden winter wonderland that had been outside, but after a storm like that anything was possible.

Right?

In fact, outside was completely different. There was no forest, no snow, no broken fence. Instead, there was grass plains and in the distance the jagged outline of what could be a small town. The air was a comfortable early morning crisp, nothing like the frigid forest of before.

And with the residual traces of the storm fading from the sky at a rapid rate, so did the electricity that had powered the building….and more than a few abilities from those within it.
